Tour the Facilities - Maine Indoor Sports Fields and Complex
Southern Maine's Best Sporting Facility
Field 1
Our Field 1 is approximately 210' long by 85 ' wide. The field is covered with Field Turf®, the state of the art in artificial grass. This is the same type of field that the Philadelphia Phillies, Tampa Bay Devil Rays and Seattle Seahawks are currently playing on. Fitzpatrick Stadium, in Portland, Maine, installed this type of turf during the summer of 2001. It looks, feels, and plays like real grass. The base is a mixture of sand and granulated rubber called Nike Grind®. This field is ideal for any variety of sports. If it is played outdoors, we can bring it inside and play it year 'round
Courts 1, 2, 3
Three full size basketball/volleyball courts, used for leagues and tournaments. The courts are also a great place for soccer, baseball, softball and other sports for their training time. We offer adult and youth leagues and tournaments that run throughout the year.
Please check our basketball page for the most updated schedules. Also check our tournament page for the most updated tournament schedules.
The Maine Sports Academy private athletic conditioning lab
Southern Maine’s premier training facility is located in the Saco Howard Sports complex, one of the largest indoor facilities in New England. The Maine Sports Academy features a private athletic lab with field turf (found in many professional stadiums), climate control, equipment for weight management and athletic conditioning at any level of ability and a functional strength and balance training area overlooking the largest field in the facility!
Go to the Maine Sports Academy page for more information.
The Mezzanine
Our back mezzanine offers an ideal perspective of games and activities on all three courts. Often times this location is used by hundreds of spectators at a time, watching their children or spouses or grandchildren play.
The Restaurant
Howard's Sports Grill is a popular spot to catch a game, grab a bite, or relax with friends or team mates after the big match. At 90', the horseshoe-shaped bar in Howard's is the longest of it's kind north of Boston. We serve a light menu as well as a wide assortment of adult beverages.
Please, no children under the age of 18 without adult.
